2 inch Cam Buckle Tie Down Straps

2-inch Cam Buckles are great for securing cargo to a roof rack, in the bed of a pickup truck or trailer, inside of a moving van, in enclosed trailers, or even dry van trailers for the professional trucking industry. 2 inch Cam Buckle Straps are by far the most popular size of cam buckle straps due to their heavy-duty strength and added durability that they offer from the heavy-duty hardware and premium polyester tie down webbing. Polyester tie-down webbing is the webbing of choice as it provides great amounts of strength without the risk of excess stretching causing the cargo to come undone or out of place.

One of the major perks of using 2-inch cam buckle straps is the ease and ability to quickly secure cargo by threading the webbing through the cam buckle hardware and releasing it to let the metal teeth prevent the polyester tie-down webbing from coming undone. Despite the straps being tightened by the amount of force that you can pull they still feature 833 lbs working load limit for our lighter duty straps and our heavy duty 2-inch cam buckle straps feature a 915 lbs working load limit rating.

Another major benefit of cam buckle straps is a reduced chance of causing overtightening damage to the cargo. It can easily become overtightened when using a ratchet strap as it flows in one direction. Cam Buckle Straps are hand-tightened which helps prevent potentially expensive damage claims for professional movers and truck drivers through insurance claims. Fragile cargo such as wooden surfaces, boxes, antiques, electronics, or other cargo that is more prone to receiving damage when being secured is recommended to use Cam Buckles to secure.

Every year the Department of Transportation (DOT) estimates tens of millions of dollars of unsecured cargo liters the highways in the United States with debris from unsafe securing every year. The most important thing to remember when shipping cargo is to follow the WLL (Working Load Limit) and secure from at least four different securement points to help to balance the weight of the shipment equally. A sudden hard brake or a sudden lane change can quickly shift the weight of the cargo you are securing causing damage or your load to become unsecured during transit.
