3 inch Ratchet Straps for Flatbed Trailers

3-inch Ratchet Straps are designed for use with applications on flatbed trailers for securing some of the heaviest cargo loads on the roadways. The Ratchet Hardware alone for our 3-inch Ratchet Straps weighs over 7 lbs and should never be used for light-duty securement applications as these are heavy-duty. Our 3-inch Ratchet Straps are designed with quality and durability in mind for when it matters most to secure extremely heavy and oversized cargo such as machinery, equipment, and building material on a consistent basis.

Made from 3-inch wide polyester tie-down webbing that is extremely rigid and helps lock the load firmly in place without the fear of a load shift. Polyester webbing is also water resistant, to the sun’s UV rays, and helps prevent mold & mildew if they are exposed to the elements for long periods.

Our standard sizes of 3-inch Ratchet come in lengths of 27’ and 30’ feet long but can be custom-made to any size length if needed for an additional price. No matter if you need flat hooks, wire hooks, or chains and hooks we have you covered to stay on the road safely over time. How to Tighten a Ratchet Strap Instructions

1). From the bottom of the ratchet hardware thread webbing from the center spool of the ratchet hardware. Pull webbing through in order to remove the excess slack
2). Next, begin cranking the ratchet handle to the desired tightness. Be careful not to overtighten or not tighten your cargo enough you ideally want to remove the slack and crank the ratchet handle 2-3 additional times to prevent overtightening.
3). Once the excess slack in the webbing is removed and the desired strength is reached ensure the ratchet hardware handle is completely closed to ensure your cargo does not become unsecured.

How to Release a Ratchet Strap Instructions

1). Open Ratchet Hardware until it is completely flat, grab webbing from the nonfixed side and pull to release the webbing.
2). Pull the ratchet release mechanism to close the ratchet hardware in between securing.
3). Next, roll the strap to keep it neatly organized and place it into a dry location that is away from moisture such as a cabinet, storage bin, ziplock bag, or duffle bag to keep it safe for the next use.
